2012 Annual General Meeting:

Hello everyone.

The Calgary Branch of the AIPE is thrilled to be the host branch for the 2012 Annual General Meeting and Conference of the National IPE. The planning work is going on steadily here as we try to find the best locations and facilities for this important event. Fortunately, SAIT Polytechnic has offered the help of their event professionals to us, to ensure that all of the AGM and Conference needs are met. Also, we have been offered assistance from the Edmonton branch if we need it.

Still, there is much work to be done and the input of all of our branch members is needed. This is an exciting time for us and I hope it will culminate in a successful event. Thanks in advance for the input and help of all the members of the Alberta Institute of Power Engineers.

The Calgary Branch will be holding regular meetings on the Second Wednesday of each month. All meetings will be held on the SAIT campus, Room MB211, 6:30 pm unless membership is notified otherwise. Venues can be booked six months in advance only, so meeting venues will be posted prior to the fall sessions.

Agendas will be presented at least one week minimum prior to the meeting via email, website, and telephone. We look forward to seeing you at the meetings and hope you will bring a friend along.
